Ambulance Jargon
In a lot of my blogs I will use a lot of Ambulance Jargon.. so I thought you may need to know what I am going on about!
AED: Automated External Defibrillator
o2: Oxygen
Entonox: Pain relieving drug (a mixture of gas & air)
Truck/Amb: Ambulance Vehicle
NFR: Neighbourhood First Responder
Kit Bag: First Aid kit of some form
RRV: Rapid Response Vehicle
FRU: First Response Unit [same as above, just different name]
Para: Paramedic
Tech: Technician
SECAS: South East Coast Ambulance Service
LAS: London Ambulance Service
“Blues & Twos”: Blue lights and sirens.
NHS: National Health Service
